Manolis Chatzithanasis

Manolis holds a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Technical University of Athens and an MSc in Operational Research and Management Science from Lancaster University. He began his career in data science, applying quantitative methods to real-world business problems.

He has worked in multiple industries, contributing to AI and data-driven initiatives in organizations such as Grant Thornton, MSD and Novartis. Across these roles, his work has focused on areas such as forecasting, optimization, business intelligence, and customer analytics, supporting decision-making processes through machine learning and advanced data models.

Over time, his work evolved alongside the broader development of the field, progressing from traditional machine learning applications to generative and, more recently, agentic AI, with an emphasis on integrating these capabilities into business operations and decision-making processes.

He is currently Head of AI at Motor Oil, where he is responsible for shaping and implementing the organization’s AI strategy across functions and subsidiaries. His work includes the development of enterprise AI solutions and the promotion of AI adoption within the organization.
