Dr. Mihalis Kritikos is a Policy Analyst at the Ethics and Integrity Sector of the European Commission, specializing in the ethical development of emerging technologies with a strong emphasis on AI Ethics. He also serves as the Secretary of the European Group of Ethics in Science and New Technologies (EGE) and is a Senior Fellow at the Brussels School of Governance (VUB), focusing on digital ethics and AI Governance.

He is the author of two books on disruptive technologies. Previously, he worked as a legal and ethics advisor at the European Parliament (STOA/EPRS), authoring more than 50 reports on topics including AI and blockchain.

His professional background includes a role as a Senior Associate at White and Case, along with extensive academic experience lecturing at several UK universities and the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA). He holds an award-winning PhD in Technology Law from the London School of Economics (LSE).
