Alexandros Nousias

Alexandros Nousias is a leading expert in the legal, ethical, and governance frameworks of Artificial Intelligence. Serving as the Executive Director of AI Law, Governance & Ethics at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of NCSR Demokritos and the Pharos AI Factory, he advises prominent research institutions and tech companies on major national and European AI initiatives.

A key architect of Greece's AI strategy, he acted as a technical consultant for the Greek High-Level Advisory Committee on AI, playing a vital role in co-authoring "A Blueprint for Greece’s A.I. Transformation." His influence extends to a European level, serving as a technical representative at the Standards Working Group of the E.U.’s A.I. Board and contributing to the National Commission for Bioethics and Technoethics.

An IEEE CertifAIEd AI ethics lead assessor, Alexandros also bridges the gap between policy and practice as the lead instructor for applied ethics in NCSR-D’s M.Sc. programs, while continuously mentoring and training corporates and startups.
