Jaap Van Zomeren

Jaap van Zomeren is a senior enterprise data executive responsible for building the foundational data architecture at ASML, the undisputed global leader in the semiconductor industry. As Head of Trade & Master Data, he orchestrates the complex, large-scale data structures, governance, and reporting frameworks that support ASML’s massive operational ecosystem. His expertise is critical in ensuring that the enterprise data backbone is robust enough to enable advanced, data-driven operating models and Agentic AI.

With over two decades of experience in enterprise data strategy and Business Intelligence, Jaap has driven the data evolution for some of Europe’s largest multinationals. Prior to ASML, he spent over a decade at AkzoNobel, where he successfully aligned enterprise-wide data management with core business objectives. His robust consulting background includes leading complex SAP architecture and management reporting projects for industry giants within the financial and technology sectors, such as ABN AMRO, ING, IBM Global Services, and PwC.

Bridging the gap between technical infrastructure and strategic business value, Jaap has also served as a Guest Lecturer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), delivering masterclasses on Data-Driven Business Models. At the Agentic AI Conference, he brings a fundamental truth to the main stage: robust data governance and flawless master data architecture are the absolute prerequisites for deploying autonomous workflows at an enterprise scale.
